Right.

i have always obsessed about truth.

so practiced am i at obsessing about truth that i find myself reflexively 
constructing awkward sentences that are unambiguous and very much not false.

it is a convenient rule.

  Never Lie.

it makes it easier to live with yourself, sometimes.  because if you ask 
people, and don't give them time to think, they will say this is a good 
way to live.

but if you are determined enough, and refuse to taint yourself with the 
knowledge that you've lied

eventually you find yourself quite adept at lying to yourself.
